(Wilmington, CA) A seven-run second inning was the spark that ignited Mt. SAC's 18-6 South Coast Conference win over Los Angeles Harbor (7-15-1, 2-5-1) on Saturday.

Four players homered for the Mounties (12-11, 6-2), including Omar Veloz (2-for-3, 3 RBI, 2 R, HR), Caleb Eills (2-for-2, 4 RBI, 3 R, HR), Michael Sandoval (3-for-5, 5 RBI, 3 R, 3B, HR), and Alex Gonzalez (3-for-4, 3 RBI, 3 R, HR).

Dylan Zavala (2-for-3, 3 R) and Albert Luevano (4-for-6, 2 RBI) each stole a base for Mt. SAC. Christian Heflin (2-for-2, R) added a double for the Mounties.

Starting pitcher Christian Longoria (3-2) threw five innings and struck out four to earn the win for Mt. SAC.

The Mounties trailed, 2-1, before exploding for seven runs in the second, four in the fifth, and four in the ninth.

Mt. SAC has won three straight—including a 12-4 win over Harbor last Thursday—and four of its last five. Next up is an SCC home tilt with Rio Hondo (8-11, 4-4) on Tuesday, March 19, at 2:30 p.m.

The Mounties are currently tied atop the SCC standings with El Camino (18-3, 6-2) and Long Beach (12-10, 6-2). El Camino's only SCC losses came against Mt. SAC on Feb. 28 and March 1.
