The #12 Seed, Mt. San Jacinto College, took an early lead against the #5 Seeded Mounties and went on to win 4-3. The Eagles scored 3 runs in the first inning. The deficit was too much to overcome, in spite of Mt. SAC's strong play the remaining 8 innings.

Derrick Penilla pitched 8 innings with six scoreless, having the only blemishes in the first and one more run in the third. First Baseman, Caesar Murillo went 1-3 with 2 RBI's to lead the Mounties offense.

 Mt. SAC must win 2 games Saturday to advance to the Super Regionals next week.

First game set for Saturday, May 4 at 2:00 pm, game 3 is scheduled to start immediately following, if necessary.
