San Jacinto, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Beach Volleyball team picked up another win on the sand Friday, February 6, splitting the day with a 4–1 victory over Mt. San Jacinto before falling 4–1 to four-year program La Sierra. With the split, the Mounties move to 4–2 overall on the season.
Mt. SAC came out firing in the opening match against Mt. San Jacinto, winning four of the five pairs.
At the No. 1 spot, Emma Carson and Eva Fisher set the tone with a decisive 21–14, 21–8 win over Jade Tolliver and Sophia Castro. The Mounties also found success at No. 3, where Mayah Tiscareno made her beach debut this season alongside Yaretzi Silva. The duo earned a straight-set win, defeating Shannon Frary and Angelina Browder 21–18, 21–16.
The No. 4 pairs match was a battle, but Bella Fairley and Jasmyn Stampley came through in the clutch, grinding out a 22–20, 21–18 victory over Amari Ramirez and Elle Scott. Rounding out the wins, Bella Ross and Veronica Estrada delivered at No. 5 with a 21–11, 21–19 win over Danielle Malnack and Angelica Colcol.
Mt. San Jacinto picked up its lone point at the No. 2 spot, where Kayla Staveley and Morgan Wilson narrowly fell in two tight sets, 21–19, 21–19, to Daija Malcolm and Destiny Affor.
The second match of the day flipped the script, as the Mounties faced a tough La Sierra squad. Fairley and Stampley once again stood out, earning Mt. SAC's lone point with a commanding 21–6, 21–19 win at the No. 4 position over Denissa Sanchez and Sarah Patin.
Carson and Fisher battled in a thriller at No. 1, pushing the match to three sets before coming up just short, 19–21, 22–20, 12–15, against Ava Himstreet and Alisa Gavva.

The Mounties return home for their first night match of the season, hosting Riverside City College (0–2) on Thursday, February 12, at 5:30 p.m.
