Mt. SAC Serves Up a 4-1 Victory Against College of the Desert

Palm Desert, Calif. – The Mt. San Antonio College Beach Volleyball team is on a roll, adding another win to their impressive season after defeating College of the Desert 4-1 on Friday, March 14. Following this victory, the Mounties' record now sits at 10-6, and they remain undefeated in conference play at 3-0.

In the No. 1 match, Candace Ceballos and Madeline Castillo took down their COD counterparts, Bella Branconier and Stacie Alexander, in straight sets, 21-16, 21-9.

Mt. SAC's No. 3 pair, Eva Fisher and Emma Carson, followed suit, easily handling Sophia Gilbert and Savannah Bush with a 21-8, 21-12 win.

Eva Becerra and Mayah Tiscareno also cruised to a victory in the No. 4 matchup, defeating Zayda Jouan and Brianna Fabian 21-14, 21-12, further adding to Mt. SAC's lead.

In the No. 5 matchup, Kaylin Mendoza and Jasmyn Stampley overcame Madyson Duran and Natalie Fabian 21-15, 21-13.

The only loss came in the No. 2 spot, where College of the Desert's Alexia Siani-Radar and Claire Thomas edged out Mt. SAC's Itzel Aguayo and Freda Lei in a hard-fought three-set baddle 21-17, 18-21, 10-15.

Overall, Mt. SAC secured a solid 4-1 win, demonstrating teamwork and skill across all matches as they continue to improve each week.

NEXT UP:
The Mounties will host El Camino (6-6) for a conference match on Friday, March 21, at 10:00 AM. This will mark the second meeting between these two teams this season, with Mt. SAC coming out on top in the first matchup, winning 3-2. Don't miss the action as the Mounties look to build on their momentum and go for their sixth consecutive win!
