(Walnut, CA) With four state championships in the Fall 2021 Season, Mt. SAC currently leads the 2021-2022 Daktronics National Association of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup State Association Division Standings.  The annual honor, presented by the Daktronics Corporation, is awarded to the state’s top overall community college athletics program based on points scored by each sport in post season competition.

Mt. SAC currently possesses 96.5 points which is 20.5 points ahead of second place Hartnell College.

In the Learfield Directors Cup (nation’s premier two-year community college athletics program) standings, the Mounties are currently second in points, behind Iowa Western Community College with 107.50 points.

This past fall season was the most productive season in the history of the college with the Mounties earning state championships in Women's Cross Country, Men's Soccer, Wrestling (Dual Team) and Wrestling (Individual), as well as a second place state finish for the Men's Cross Country Team.  Currently, during the Winter Season, which includes Men’s and Women’s Basketball, the Mounties are steaming along with the women’s team receiving the #1 and the men’s team receiving the #16 seed in the SoCal Regional Playoffs.

Mt. SAC is looking to capture their unprecedented 11th overall and 9th consecutive state association title.  Since the awards inception in 2003-2004, Mt. SAC has dominated the division.  No institution has captured more titles (10), had more consecutive titles (8) or had a higher point total (187.5).  With the exception of one fourth and one sixth place finish, Mt. SAC has finished with either a championship or second place trophy.  Mt. SAC also has 4 of the highest and six of the 10 highest point totals.
