The Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Team kicked off their season on Saturday, August 31, at the Mark Covert Classic, hosted by Cal State Fullerton. The 5k race took place at Carbon Canyon Park in Brea, CA.
The Mounties had four runners compete but despite their best efforts, did not place among the top 13 teams. Tigist Bergman led the Mt. SAC athletes with a time of 19:42.8 averaging 6:20.7 per mile. Yadira Arnold followed with a time of 20:03.9 and an average mile of 6:27.5.
