(Pasadena, CA) Down two games to none, Mt. San Antonio College (10-3, 3-0) won the next three games to capture a 3-2 (22-25, 15-25, 25-12, 25-16, 15-11) South Coast Conference win over host Pasadena City College (10-4, 1-2) on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Mt. SAC's Riley DeGroot led all players with 16 kills as teammates Angelina Burton and Allison Whiteman added 15 and 12, respectively. Riannel Arevalo had a match-high 17 digs for the Mounties, while teammates DeGroot and Bristol Christelman tallied 11 and 10, also respectively. Kylie Rhodes (26) and Capri Salmon (21) led Mt. SAC in assists.
Winners of four straight, the Mounties will host El Camino College (3-7, 3-0) on Friday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. Mt. SAC and the Warriors are currently tied for first in the SCC standings.
