(Walnut, CA) In a South Coast Conference match on Friday night, Long Beach City College (12-6, 7-1) handed Mt. SAC (6-13, 3-5) a 3-1 setback by the scores of 29-27, 25-18, 33-35, and 25-14. The Vikings are ranked No. 15 on the most recent California Community College Women's Volleyball Association state poll.

As a team, Mt. SAC tallied 50 kills, which included 14 by Jessica Morse and 11 by Camille Boone. Of the team's 48 digs, Ashly Velazquez accounted for 13 and Macy Barnes for 12. Azriel White, Juliana Gomez, and Velazquez had a pair of aces each.

Next up for the Mounties is an SCC tilt at Pasadena City College (15-4, 6-2) on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. The Lancers are ranked No. 17 on the CCCWVCA state poll.
