Women's Track and Field Captures SCC Title Behind Impressive Individual Performances

(Torrance, CA) The Mt. San Antonio College Women's Track and Field Team scored 304 points to easily captured the 2022 South Coast Conference Championships which were held at El Camino College on Saturday, April 23. Cerritos College took second with 186 points and Long Beach City College came in third with 106 points.

On the day, Mounties captured 10 individual events, taking second in 12, and third in eight. Of particular note, the Mt. SAC Women's Pole Vaulters and 10,000 meter runners occupied the top three spots in their respective events with the 3,000-meter steeplechasers taking the top four and the 5,000 meter runners taking the top 5 spots.

Mt. SAC will next compete in the California Community College Athletic Association's SoCal Regional Prelims on Saturday, May 7, at Moorpark College.
