(Walnut, CA) The Mounties Women's Tennis Team won their 2nd round match over visiting Riverside City College (5-1) in the CCCAA Dual Team Championships. The team of Pyper Brown and Judy Ung got things started with a (8-6) win over Sheila James and Acacia Dettman of RCC.  They were followed up by teammates Connie Aranguiz, Kristen Canones and Tran Bui, Ysabella Matute both with 9-8 doubles wins, which put Mt. SAC in a commanding 3-0 lead heading into singles play.

Aranguiz, lost her singles match due to injury and it would be the Mounties only loss on the day.  Brown won her match (6-0, 6-0) and Bui won her match (6-4, 6-2), which was all the Mounties needed to move on to the regional finals. 

The Mounties will host Glendale College on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 pm. The Vaqueros defeated Cerritos College to advance to Saturday.  The two teams met earlier in the season with the Mounties coming out on top with a 5-4 victory.
