(Ventura, CA)  The Mt. SAC Women's Tennis Team (24-1, South #1 seed) captured their first ever California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Dual Team State Championship by defeating Modesto College (16-1, North #3 seed), 5-4.  With the match team score tied at four a piece, the state championship came down to the final match of the championship contest.  After two sets in the final match between both teams #1 players, the score was tied one to one (4-6, 6-1).  Mt. SAC ace, Connie Aranguiz, rallied strong to capture the final set, 6-4, over Modesto's Vanessa Teves, giving the Mounties their first ever CCCAA Women's Tennis State Championship.

This season, the Mounties have rewritten the record books with a CCCAA State Championship, 24-1 dual team record, a South Coast Conference Championship and a perfect 12-0 conference record.  The Mounties will conclude their season at the Ojai Tournament beginning tomorrow and ending Sunday.
