Mt. SAC Men's Wrestling continues to roll with first-place finish at Modesto Invitational

(Modesto, CA) Tallying 320.5 points, Mt. San Antonio College took first place in the Modesto Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 7. Fresno City College (189 points) and host Modesto College (138.5) finished second and third, respectively, in a field that consisted mainly of Northern California teams. This is the fourth team tournament victory in as many events this season for the Mounties.

In total, Mt. SAC wrestlers finished first in three weight classes, second in three and third in two.

First-place performances came from Adrian Limon (125 lbs.), Zachary Parker (141 lbs.) and Jacob Gamino (157 lbs.)

Dib Sawaya (285 lbs.), Nathan Cruz (174 lbs.) and Emilio Medina (133 lbs.) placed second in their weight classes.

Third-place finishes included Brian Geiger (149 lbs.) and Caidence Turner (165 lbs.)

The Mounties open their Southern California Wrestling Association Southwest Division schedule with a dual meet at Palomar College on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m.
