Chino, Calif. – Competing on their home course in a conference matchup, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team secured another solid second-place finish with a team score of 331 on Wednesday, October 8. Orange Coast College remains the team to beat, finishing first with an impressive 302—29 strokes ahead of the Mounties. Fullerton College rounded out the top three with a 417.
Once again leading the way for Mt. SAC was Kaitlyn Wang, who carded a 78. She was followed closely by Kyrie Padero (80), Lauren Grant-Timassy (83), and Leah Garcia (90), combining for the team's official score. Although Abigail Price (91) and Evangeline Rodriguez (98) also competed, their scores did not count toward the team total.
Orange Coast College delivered a standout performance, with three golfers—Michelle Khin, Nalani Sam, and Sofia Ingle—each shooting a 75. Sophie Thibodeau added a 77 to round out the Pirates' leading squad.
