(Walnut, CA)  The Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team easily defeated visiting L.A. Pierce College, 77-49, to move on to third round playoff action.  The number one ranked and undefeated Mounties (30-0) will now host number eight ranked Long Beach City College (24-4) on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:30 pm  The Vikings outscored #9 ranked College of the Canyons, 75-41 in the second round.  This season the Mounties have faced conference rival Long Beach City College twice, with Mt. SAC coming out on top in both contests (52-48 and 78-51).   

Last Saturday, Mt. SAC took the lead early (38-17 at the half) against L.A. Pierce College and never let go.  Leading scorer for the Mounties was SCC and State South Player of the Year, Morgan Mason, who put in 22 points, with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.  Leticia Galarza also had an exceptional game, scoring 12 points with 6 rebounds and 2 assists.       

Tickets for this Wednesday's playoff game can be purchased at the door and are $8 for adults and $5 for Students (with ID), Children (5-12), Seniors (55 and better) and Staff (with ID).
