Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. San Antonio College Softball Team is set to begin its postseason journey as the No. 7 seed in the 2025 3C2A Southern California Regionals. The Mounties, who finished the regular season with a 26-13 record, will host 10th-seeded Fullerton College (17-21) in a best-of-three series starting Friday, May 2, at home.

The two teams are no strangers, having gone head-to-head twice this season. Fullerton claimed a win in their first matchup back in January (15-13), but Mt. SAC responded with a dominant 4-0 victory in March, setting the stage for a tightly contested playoff series.

Mt. SAC enters the playoffs with a powerful offense and a dependable pitching staff. The team boasts a .360 batting average and a 2.52 earned run average. Key contributors at the plate include Katie Griego (.404 average, 25 RBIs, 27 runs), Morgan Kneubuhler (.400, 33 RBIs, 24 runs), Amanda Porterfield (.400, 15 RBIs), Samantha Orozco (.394, 27 RBIs), and Sarai Raygoza (.368, 16 RBIs, 27 runs). On the mound, Kayden Connaty leads the way with eight wins, a 1.82 ERA, and 78 strikeouts. She is supported by Samantha Vizcarra (10 wins, 2.83 ERA, 59 Ks) and Isabella Guerrero (7 wins, 3.22 ERA, 19 Ks).

Fullerton College brings a .301 team batting average and a 4.46 ERA into the series. Offensively, Veronica Moore leads the Hornets with a .437 average and 43 RBIs. She is the program's all-time RBI leader, nearing her own single-season record of 46. Other offensive contributors include Linsey Arostigue, Bethany Morrison, Hope Morales, Jianna Lopez, Avery Wiersma, and Juliana Ursino, each providing depth to the Hornets' lineup. In the circle, Grace Workman has been the team's workhorse, pitching 167.2 innings with 11 wins and 60 strikeouts. Morales has also contributed with six wins and 45 innings pitched.

Game one of the series is scheduled for Friday, May 2, at 5:00 PM, followed by game two on Saturday, May 3, at 2:00 PM. If necessary, a deciding game three will take place later that day at 4:00 PM—all at Mt. SAC's home field. The winner of the series will advance to the next round of the 3C2A playoffs, continuing the path toward the state championship.

Come support the Mounties as they begin their postseason journey.
