The defending state champion Mt. SAC Softball Team has earned the #1 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Mounties (36-4) were undefeated (22-0) in South Coast Conference North Division play and will host lowest remaining seed of the two "play-in" games. 

The two "play-in" games will be between #16 Orange Coast College hosting #17 Cerritos College and #15/#14 Southwestern College hosting #18 Ventura College.  Both games will be held on Tuesday.  The winners either take on Mt. SAC or #2-seed Cypress College in a best-of-three series over the May 3rd and 4th weekend.
