Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Captures Seventh Consecutive SCC Title

(Irvine, CA) With 27 team points, the Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team captured first place at the South Coast Conference Championships at Irvine Regional Park on Friday. El Camino finished second with 56 points and Los Angeles Harbor came in third with 87 points. This is the Mountie's seventh consecutive SCC title.

Five Mounties had top-10 finishes in the field of 89 runners. Isaiah Wilson (21:53.1) and Daniel Abdala (22:06.8) came in first and second, respectively. Lorenzo Orozco (22:30.1, 6th place), Marco Perez (22:47.9, 8th), and Zackary Alexander (22:50.5, 10th) rounded out the top-10 finishers for Mt. SAC. Bryce Butler placed 11th with a time of 22:51.2, less than a second behind Alexander.

Currently ranked second in the state behind San Diego Mesa, the Mounties will compete in the Southern California Regional Championships on Friday, Nov. 8, at Mission Park in San Diego at 10 a.m.
