(Walnut, CA) For the second time in four days, host Mt. San Antonio College (17-6, 2-0) and Long Beach City College (7-9, 0-1) faced each other on Wednesday, Oct. 11, with the Mounties coming out on top, 13-11, to pick up a South Coast Conference win. The teams also played on Saturday, Oct. 7, in a non-conference game in the Riverside City College Tournament, and Mt. SAC won that game by the score of 15-14.
In Wednesday's contest, Aidan Gilloly led the Mounties with four goals and three assists, while teammate Alex Lopez added three goals and had four assists. Edward (EJ) Lynch also contributed three goals in the winning effort, as Brandon Fabrega added two and Roman Robles scored one.
In 32 minutes, goalie Elijah Swaim had seven saves for Mt. SAC.
On Wednesday, Oct. 18, the Mounties will travel to Norwalk for an SCC game against Cerritos College (14-6, 2-0) in a matchup of conference leaders. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
