(Walnut, CA) College of the Desert (5-2-3) broke a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 70th minute to capture a 2-1 non-conference win over host Mt. San Antonio College (2-3-5) on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Abel Salazar put the Mounties on the board first with a goal in the 14th minute on an assist from Edgar Silva. The Roadrunners scored their first goal in the 29th minute to send the game into halftime tied.

Daniel Ramirez played all 90 minutes in goal for Mt. SAC, making four saves.

Next up, the Mounties begin their South Coast Conference schedule at home against El Camino College (8-1) on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 4:30 p.m.
