Bermuda Dunes, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Men's Golf Team wrapped up their final Orange Empire Conference regular-season event with a fifth-place finish Monday, posting a team score of 313 (+25) at Bermuda Dunes Country Club.
College of the Desert continued to set the pace in the conference, taking first with a 293 (+5). Cypress College came in second at 295 (+7), while Victor Valley College was directly behind in third with a 296 (+8).
Mt. SAC battled through a challenging day on the course, with flashes of strong play that were ultimately offset by costly strokes.
Hayden Beltran once again led the Mounties, carding a 76 (+4). Beltran showed his scoring ability with five birdies on the day, but a mix of seven bogeys and a double bogey kept him just over par on the 72-course layout.
James Bergman, Aaron Duran, and Cameron Miller each turned in rounds of 79 (+7), providing steady contributions to the team score. Jonathan Melton (80) and Aaron Kusnowo (83) also competed for the Mounties.
