Costa Mesa, Calif. – The Mt. San Antonio College Men's Golf Team had their best conference outing of the season on Monday, March 16, finishing fifth with a team score of 303 (+15). The competition took place at the Costa Mesa Country Club, hosted by Orange Coast College.
Victor Valley College led the field with an impressive 278 (-10), followed by College of the Desert at 282 (-6). Riverside City College rounded out the top three with a 297 (+9).
Leading the way for the Mounties once again was Hayden Beltran, who fired a 73 (+1) to tie for 13th place individually. Beltran recorded five birdies on the day, marking his strongest conference performance of the season.
Aaron Kusnowo followed with a 76, while Aaron Duran and James Bergman each carded 77s (+5) to round out the team score of 303.
Jonathan Melton and Rual Avila both posted rounds of 79.
After three conference events, the Mounties sit at 6-15 in conference play, currently seventh in the Orange Empire Conference standings. With the season still in its early stages—and coming off their lowest team score so far—Mt. SAC continues to trend in the right direction.

The Mounties will return to action on Monday, March 23, competing in another conference tournament at Victoria Country Club, hosted by Riverside City College.
