Riverside, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Men's Golf Team competed in a strong 15-team field at the Riverside City College Invitational, battling through a competitive day on a par-72 course.

Reedley College claimed the team title at +1, narrowly edging College of the Canyons, which finished just one stroke back at +2. A second College of the Canyons group rounded out the top three with a +14 team score.

Mt. SAC placed 12th overall with a team score of +30.

Leading the way for the Mounties was Hayden Beltran, who shot an impressive round of 73 (+1). Beltran carded five birdies on the day, finishing just one stroke over par and posting the team's top performance.

Aaron Kusnowo followed with an 80 (+8), while James Bergman recorded an 82 (+10). Aaron Duran added an 83 (+11) to round out the team's scoring.

Raul Avila shot an 84 (+12), and Eian Davila-Torres completed the Mounties' lineup with a 94 (+22).

NEXT UP:

The Mounties will compete in their first conference matchup on Monday, March 9, at the Navy Golf Course, hosted by Cypress College.
