Mountie Men's Golf opens season with second-place finish at Pt. Conception Invitational

(Lompoc, CA) The Mt. San Antonio College Men's Golf team opened its 2024 season at the two-day Pt. Conception Invitational which was held at La Purisma Golf Course in Lompoc on Sunday and Monday, Jan. 28-29, and placed second with a team score of 805. College of the Canyons placed first with 785 points and Fresno City College took third with 811.

Kobe Trujillo led the Mounties in scoring posting 76 on both days for a total of 152, three strokes behind medalist winner Ethan Posthumus of Canyons who scored 149 (72-77). Jacob Riegg (79-81, 160), Trevor Ruiz (79-82, 161), Aaron Fekin (88-79, 167), Spencer Ramirez (77), and Keefe Patayatiwong (88) accounted for Mt. SAC's scoring.

The Mounties will next compete in the Cuyamaca Classic at Steele Canyon Golf Club in Jamul on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 10:30 a.m.
