Mountie Men Finish Third at Eagle Golf Classic; Felix Tsui Cards a 72

(San Jacinto, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Golf Team continues to finish near the top of the pack in early-season tournaments, with the latest a third-place finish at the Eagle Classic at Soboba Springs Country Club Wednesday (Feb. 12).

Mountie sophomore Chu-Wen (Felix) Tsui carded an even Par-72 to place seventh out of 94 entrants.

As a team, the Mounties finished third out of 16 teams. Orange Empire Conference competitor Cypress College won its second consecutive tournament of the season with a 367, followed by Reedly (375) and Mt. SAC, three strokes back with a 378.

"I am incredibly proud of this team," Mt. SAC Men's Golf coach Greg Osbourne said. "They play their hearts out and really care about each other and our team."

Three other Mounties finished in the 70's - Ben Sanders (74), Blake Copeland (75) and Tommy Chung (77). James Johnson and Kotaro Noda carded an 80.

Next up for the Mounties is the Cuyamaca Classic at the Sycuan Resort, Willow Glen Golf Club in El Cajon Wednesday (Feb. 19).
