Mountie Men's Basketball defeats Antelope Valley to win Skip Robinson Tourney title

(Pasadena, CA) Mt. San Antonio College remained unbeaten this season with an 86-73 victory over Antelope Valley College (1-4) to win the Skip Robinson Tourney on Friday, Nov. 17, at Pasadena City College.

Down 39-37 at halftime, the Mounties took the lead, 52-51, at the 13:18 mark in the second half on a layup by Nick Hopkins and slowly opened the gap from there en route to victory. Hopkins posted a game-high 29 points while grabbing 11 rebounds.

Michael Ejumeta and Jerimayah Smith each scored 13 points for Mt. SAC, as teammates CJ Fisher and Ernest Love contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively. Fisher also led all players with 13 boards.

As a team, the Mounties dominated the Marauders in several categories, including rebounds (41-29), points off turnovers (24-6) and points in the paint (60-32).

Mt. SAC's next game will be a non-conference matchup at Santiago Canyon College (6-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m.
