Pasadena Overcomes Halftime Deficit to Defeat Mt. SAC Men's Basketball

(Pasadena, CA) Trailing 42-33 at halftime, host Pasadena City College (11-13, 2-2) rallied in the second half to defeat Mt. SAC, 85-69, in a South Coast Conference North Division game on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Kalique Mitchell led all players with 20 points off the bench, while Collin Reed and Maliq Neurell added 17 and 10, respectively, for the Mounties (6-17, 1-3). Mitchell also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds in the loss.

Gabriel Ajemian led the Lancers in scoring with 19 points and Deando Worrell led them in rebounding with 13.

Pasadena outplayed Mt. SAC in several team categories, including points in the paint (42-26) and points off turnovers (19-11).

Next up for the Mounties is an SCC North home tilt with Rio Hondo College (3-21, 0-4) on Friday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. Mt. SAC defeated the Roadrunners, 74-65, last time the teams met on Jan. 22.
