Mountie Baseball, South Coast Conference Honors Announced

Four players from Mt. SAC Baseball have earned recognition on the All-Conference teams of the South Coast Conference. These players' exceptional skills and performance have helped the team achieve success throughout the 2023 season.

Mt. SAC's standout pitcher, Michael Flores, was selected to the All-South Coast Conference First Team. Flores, a sophomore left-hander, had a record of 3-3, pitched 54 innings with only 17 walks, and led the SCC with an impressive 77 strikeouts. He also held a 3.00 ERA and was a significant asset to his team's success.

Joining Flores on the All-SCC First Team is Freshman Center Fielder, Joey Rossetti. Rossetti had an impressive batting average of .403 and had 14 RBI throughout conference play. His speed, athleticism, and outstanding defensive abilities make him a deserving recipient of this honor.

The All-SCC Second Team includes Joey Peralta, a freshman right-hander from Mt. SAC, who had a record of 3-0, pitched 33 innings with only 5 walks, and had 28 strikeouts. Peralta's 2.18 ERA was a crucial factor in his team's success this season.

Finally, freshman designated hitter, Gibby Morales, from Mt. SAC, was recognized with Honorable Mention. Morales was an essential part of his team's offensive production, consistently hitting for power and average throughout the season.
