
(Glendale, CA) Host Glendale College (9-2) jumped out to a 4-0 lead through four innings, then held on to defeat Mt. SAC, 7-2, in a non-conference game on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Cole Jordan (2-4, RBI), Albert Luevano (2-4, 3B), and Nick Lugo (1-2, RBI, R) were the top offensive players for the Mounties (9-2). Art Ruiz stole a base in the losing effort.
Starter Diego Barrera (2-1) got the loss, throwing four innings, allowing four earned runs, and striking out two.
Mt. SAC will start its South Coast Conference schedule at home on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. against El Camino (6-5), in the first of a three-game series with the Warriors. The second and third games will take place on Thursday, Feb. 20, at El Camino at 2 p.m. and at home on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 12 p.m.
