GAME 1:
In the first match, Mt. SAC faced a tough challenge. The No. 1 pair of Candace Ceballos and Madeline Castillo fought hard through three intense sets but ultimately fell short to Long Beach's Kaylani Moncada and Tyreana Allen, 21-18, 23-25, 13-15. The No. 2 pair of Itzel Aguayo and Freda Lei also struggled, losing to Enaya Vaielua and Mikayla Curry, 12-21, 21-23.
However, the bottom half of Mt. SAC's lineup delivered strong performances. The No. 3 duo of Emma Carson and Eva Fisher dominated Alexandra Rosquin and Ryannah Gagau, winning 21-16, 21-12. The No. 4 pair of Mayah Tiscareno and Eva Becerra followed suit with a 21-12, 21-17 win over Camille Agrupis and Ryleeh Tuaolo. Jeanie Rhodes and Kaylin Mendoza sealed the match for Mt. SAC, edging Alanna Jones and Maggie Acevedo 21-19, 28-26 in a thrilling No. 5 pair contest.
GAME 2:
In the second match of the day, the Mounties faced a last-minute adjustment when Ceballos was sidelined due to injury. Castillo teamed up with Celina Mosqueda in the No. 1 spot, but they were bested by Bella Branconier and Stacie Alexander, 16-21, 13-21. Aguayo and Lei continued to battle, but a tough three-set loss to Claire Thomas and Alexia Siani-Rader, 22-20, 21-23, 16-18, left Mt. SAC in a challenging position.
Again, the lower half of the lineup stepped up. Carson and Fisher easily handled Zayda Jouan and Sophia Gilbert, 21-7, 21-9, while Jordyn Romano and Mendoza claimed a 21-16, 21-13 victory over Madyson Duran and Brianna Fabian in the No. 4 spot. Tiscareno and Becerra then sealed the deal for Mt. SAC with a commanding 21-7, 21-18 win over Natalie Fabian and Savannah Bush.
