Marcus Bryant enters his second year with the Mt. SAC Men’s Basketball Program.  Bryant brings a wealth of knowledge from his 16 years of coaching experience working at the prep to NCAA Division 1 levels.  A well-traveled coach, he has a vast network of connections in the basketball community.

Prior to arriving at Mt. SAC he also served in the California Community College ranks as an assistant coach at West Hills College (2014-15) in Coalinga.   

He began his coaching career in his hometown of Philadelphia (PA) at Philadelphia Lutheran Christian Academy (PLCA, 2003-2009) where he served as Associate Head Coach.  During his tenure at PLCA, over 30 of his student-athletes received NCAA Division 1 scholarships, with more than 10 of them obtaining professional basketball careers.

Along Bryant’s basketball journey, he worked as a graduate assistant coach for the Texas Southern University (2011-2012) Men's Basketball Team where he was part of Head Coach Tony Harvey's success that culminated in an appearance in the SWAC Conference Championship Game.

He received his Bachelors Degree in General Studies from the Texas Southern University (2013), his A.A. Degree from West Oklahoma State College and his Masters Degree in Sports and Fitness Administration Management from Missouri Baptist University and is currently pursuing his Doctorate from the U.S. Sports Academy.
