Monica Armstrong enters her 9th year on the Mountie Staff. A former Mountie, Armstrong was an outstanding guard who came to Mt. SAC after playing three years of varsity basketball at Diamond Bar High School. She played two seasons for the Mounties and earned her A.A. Degree. Armstrong received a scholarship to Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado where she played her junior year and later transferred to Cal Poly Pomona for her senior season. She is currently finishing her B.A. in Business Communications at the University of Phoenix, Diamond Bar campus.
Monica’s love for basketball keeps her busy in the off season coaching travel ball with West Coast Premier Basketball Academy. She also is an Adjunct Kinesiology Instructor at Mt. SAC.
Monica’s latest personal project is a company she started from the ground up called Hoopfit. She brings this basketball fitness class to the local communities where adult women have the opportunity to participate in basketball while getting in shape.
