Andy Paulin has been Head Athletic Trainer at Mt. SAC since 1983 and leads the large football athletic training staff and directs the medical care of Baseball, Men's Swimming, Women's Swimming and Wrestling.

Prior to arriving at Mt. SAC, Paulin was the Head Trainer at California State Bakersfield (1980-1983) and Don Lugo High School (1978-1980).  

Paulin served on the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board of Directors for six years, representing California, Nevada and Hawaii. He also served as past President of the California Athletic Trainers Association and has served two-six year terms. He is an instructor of Sports Medicine & Athletic Training Classes at Mt. SAC. He previously taught athletic training classes at Cal Poly Pomona, L.A. College of Chiropractic, and with the LA84 Foundation Coaches Education Program. Paulin has served as Head Athletic Trainer on numerous USA Track and Field National Teams and served in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games as the Judo Venue Athletic Trainer Coordinator. 

In 2011, Paulin received the highest honor in his profession with his induction into the NATA Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Far West Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame (FWATA )in 2009. Through the years, Paulin has also been honored as the NATA Most Distiguished Athletic Trainer (2009), NATA Athletic Trainer of the Year (2006) and the Community College Athletic Trainer of the Year (2006)

Paulin is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton, (B.S. in  P.E., 1978) and the CSUF/NATA Athletic Trainer Curriculum Program. He is a Certified member of the NATA, FWATA, California Athletic Trainers Assocation and the California Community College Athletic Trainers Assoc. (3CATA). Paulin resides in Walnut with his wife, Margaret Mary, daughter Megan and son Anthony.
