Isaiah Manley Named To CCCAA State Honor Roll

(Sacramento, CA) Mt. SAC Football Wide Receiver, Isaiah Manley (SO, Santiago (Corona) H.S.) has been named to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Scholar Athlete Honor Roll.  He is one of only six male student/athletes to receive this honor.   Manley, who carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average, was the South Coast Conferences representative for the CCCAA State Scholar Athlete Award.  He becomes only the fourteenth Mountie to be named to the honor roll.  During the 2015 season, Manley had 25 receptions for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Mounties.

The Scholar Athlete Award is the highest student achievement honor awarded annually by the CCCAA. The winners, along with the rest of the annual honor roll, are selected by the CCCAA Awards Committee from nominations made by community colleges throughout California.

Candidates for the Scholar Athlete Award must carry a minimum GPA of 3.5 and must also show outstanding leadership as an athlete, student, or in other college and community activities, as well as have participated in two seasons of sport at a California community college.
