(Cerritos, CA) The Men's Soccer Team (6-2-2, 1-0-2) traveled to Cerritos College on Tuesday afternoon to take on conference foe, Cerritos Falcons (2-5-3, 2-0-1).  The two teams compete each year for conference titles and often state championships in the sport.  The match, ending in a 1-1 tie, did not disappoint.

The Mounties struck first on a Daniel Huizar goal in the 22nd minute. After a foul on Cerritos near the edge of the penalty box, Huizar placed a shot into the lower corner, away from the outstretched hands of the Falcons Keeper.

The Falcons were able to answer near the end of the half on a deflected header, off of a corner kick with 3 minutes remaining.

In the second half, both teams had moments on attack and defense, with the Mounties Goalie, Andy Gutierrez, coming up big multiple times. The match would end notched at 1.

The Mounties travel to Compton on 10/9 for a 6 pm contest.
