(Walnut, CA) Host Mt. San Antonio College closed out its 2023 season with a 9-3 loss to El Camino College (28-12, 18-6) in the concluding contest of a three-game South Coast Conference series on Friday, April 28. The victory secured the Warriors' SCC title outright.

With the game tied 1-1 through four innings, El Camino scored three runs in the top of the fifth, two in the seventh, and three more in the eighth to build a lead the Mounties (19-21, 10-14) were unable to overcome.

Top offensive play for Mt. SAC came from Joey Rossetti (3-4, RBI, SB), Gibby Morales (2-4, R, RBI, HR), CJ Ontiveros (1-3, RBI), and Travis Hobbensiefken (1-5, 2B).

Starter Sam Silversmith (4-2) got the loss, throwing 4.2 innings, allowing four runs (all earned), and striking out five.
