Big news for the past week is the Men's Cross Country Team capturing the CCCAA Southern California Cross Country Championships this past weekend in San Diego. With the win, the Mounties will advance, along with the Women's Team who placed 6th, to the CCCAA State Championships to be held on November 21st at Woodward Park in Fresno (CA).
The football team (7-3) captured their final regular season game against El Camino, 26-13, to capture at least a share of the National Division Central Conference Championship. The Mounties will await the announcements of bowl game/play-off match ups this Sunday.
Women's Volleyball Team (15-4) is riding a six game win streak and will look to capture a share of the SCC Championship with a win over El Camino on Tuesday (11/10).
Women's Basketball (3-0) the preseason #1 ranked team opened up the season at the Mt. SAC Tip Off Classic. The Mounties reinforced their ranking with three dominating wins, in which the team scored 90+ points in each game.
Coming Up... The Mt. SAC Wrestling Team will compete for the CCCAA Dual Team Wrestling State Championship Sunday, November 22nd (4:00 pm) against Northern California powerhouse, Fresno City College. The Mounties will look to avenge their loss of last years CCCAA Dual Team Championship, where the Rams came out on top in Fresno.
Mounties Water Polo Teams have both advanced to the SoCal Water Polo Championships, hosted by Mt. SAC this Thursday to Saturday (11/12 to 11/14).
