Mountie Women's Cross Country Takes Top Spot at Mt. SAC XC Invite

(Walnut, CA) At the annual Mt. SAC XC Invite on Friday, October 13, Mt. San Antonio College claimed the top team spot with 50 points, while Glendale College came in second with 68, and Hartnell College took third with 80.

In individual competition, seven Mountie runners placed in the top 20 in a field of 114 competitors from 11 schools on the three-mile course. The top-20 finishers from Mt. SAC included Shandy Moore (7th place, 19:19.3), Ingrid Tamayo (10th, 20:00.1), Tigist Bergman (14th, 20:11.2), Ava Cornell (15th, 20:12.3), Natalyn Membreno (16th, 20:13.6), Brenna Butler (17th, 20:16.9), and Cassandra Apahidean (20th, 20:47.8).

The Mounties will return to action on Friday, October 27, at the South Coast Conference Championships at Ken Malloy Regional Park in Harbor City.
