(Irvine, CA) In a meet that saw five Mounties claim top-10 finishes, the Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Team came in second behind Los Angeles Harbor College at the South Coast Conference Championships at Irvine Regional Park on Friday. The Mounties scored 36 points, one behind L.A. Harbor, while Long Beach City College took third with 96 points.

Sadie Encinas was the top Mt. SAC finisher at second place, clocking in with a time of 21:39.2. The other top-10 Mountie placings included Yesenia Flores (22:26.4, 7th place), Kaitlyn Atkinson (22:31.8, 8th), Daniela De La Torre Garcia (22:32.4, 9th), and Evelyn Peralta (22:52.9, 10th).

Ranked sixth in the state, Mt. SAC will compete in the Southern California Regional Championships at Mission Park in San Diego on Friday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m.
