(Walnut, CA) In a tightly contested South Coast Conference meet, Long Beach City College defeated host Mt. San Antonio College, 149-131, on Friday, March 29. The loss was the Mounties' first of the season.

Mt. SAC competitors turned in more first-place performances than the Vikings did (8-6), but LBCC tallied more second-place (9-5) and third-place (11-3) finishes than the hosts did.

First-place finishes for the Mounties included Madison Dorsey (1000 Free), Genevieve Niko (50 Free), Paige Fast (200 Free, 200 Back, 200 IM), Elleanna Ramos (100 Fly, 200 Fly), and the 200 Medley relay team (Eden Kennedy, Fast, Ramos, Niko).

Niko (100 Back, 100 Free), Dorsey (200 IM), Shauna Mercado (200 Free), and the 400 relay team (Ramos, Dorsey, Mekala Valentin, Mercado) accounted for Mt. SAC's second-place performances.

Third-place honors came from Dorsey (500 Free) and Emily Velasco (200 Back, 200 Fly).
