Mt. SAC’s Paige Fast is “Fast”; Wins three events to lead Mt. SAC Swimming team to wins over Chaffey, ELAC

(Monterey Park, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Swimming team kept its perfect record in tack with its ninth dual win of the season on Friday, March 22 at East L. A. College.

Six of those wins came in the South Coast Conference, with the latest wins against Chaffey, 205-24, and ELAC, 179-79.

With one conference dual remaining versus Long Beach City College on Friday, March 29, the Mounties are gearing up for the Riverside CC Invite and SCC Championships on the horizon.

Mt. SAC came home with 11 of 12 individual wins and won both relays.

Freshman Paige Fast was the big winner of the day with three individual wins plus a member of the winning 200 medley Relay team.

Fasts' wins came in the 200 Freestyle, 500 Free, and the 200 Individual Medley. The Mounties finished 1-2-3 in that event, with Madison Dorsey and Mekala Valentin finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Finishing with two wins each were Kennedy (100, 200 Breaststroke), Elleanna Ramos (100, 200 Fly), and Genevieve Niko (50, 100 Free).

Other winners were Valentin (1000 Free) and Emily Velasco (200 Back). The Mounties won both the 200 Medley Relay (Fast, Kennedy, Ramos, Niko) and 400 Free Relay (Ramos, Dorsey, Kennedy, Niko).
