(Walnut, CA) In the 75th minute of a scoreless game, Vivian Lopez scored the first and decisive goal on an assist from Veronica Aquino to lift host Mt. San Antonio College (6-1-1) to a 1-0 non-conference win over Santa Barbara City College (4-2-2) on Friday, Sept. 22.

The Mounties made six shots on goal during the game but only connected on one, which proved to be enough.

Goalie Anai Olmedo held the Vaqueros scoreless in 90 minutes, making two saves. This is the third shutout of the season for Olmedo.

Mt. SAC will try to extend its three-game winning streak in a non-conference home game against College of the Desert (7-1) on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m. The Roadrunners have won four in a row. The Mounties are 3-0 all-time against COD, which includes a 4-0 win in the schools' last meeting in 2019.
