Mt. SAC Women’s Golf finishes a near-perfect Championship OEC season; Loera cards a 75 for third

(Fullerton, CA) Heading into the Orange Empire Conference Tournament next week, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf team completed a nearly perfect season with another match win on Monday (Oct. 16). The two-day conference tourney and finals begin on Monday (Oct. 23) at Temecula Creek Golf Course, hosted by Cuyamaca College.

The Mounties, with a 41-1 OEC record, won their sixth match in seven events at Fullerton Golf Course in Match No. 7 with another significant margin of victory. As a team, Mt. SAC carded a 318 for first place, followed by Fullerton (345), Saddleback (355), College of the Desert (361), Orange Coast College (389), Cuyamaca (403), and Mt. San Jacinto (N/S).

Mt. SAC sophomore Kayla Loera finished third overall with a score of 75, while Cuyamaca's Kiana Glossner was the low medalist with a 69. Loera was followed by her three teammates: Alana Lo, 5th (77); Kylie Lau, 6th (78); and Natalie Neal, tied for 9th (88).
