(Costa Mesa, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Golf team destroyed the field of seven teams and finished first with a 34-stroke victory over second-place College of the Desert College in the Orange Empire Conference Match No. 3 on Monday (Sept. 25).

The event, which was hosted by Orange Coast College and held at the Costa Mesa Country Club (Mesa Linda), saw Mt. SAC card a 318 team score with its four players. Mt. SAC still holds first place in the conference.

Second place COD (352) finished ahead of third place Fullerton (353), Saddleback (361), Cuyamaca (379), OCC (403) and Mt. San Jacinto (442).

Leading the way for the Mounties on the Par-70, 5,193-yard course was sophomore Kayla Loera 77 (40-37), followed by Kylie Lau 78 (39-39), freshman Natalie Neal 80 (39-41) and Alana Lo 83 (40-43).

Fullerton's Sophia Miller and Cuyamaca's Kiana Glossner both shot 72 to tie for low medalist honors.

Mt. SAC will continue with OEC play this Wednesday (Sept. 27), with Match No. 4, hosted by Saddleback College, at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo.
