Mt. SAC Women’s Golf finishes first in OEC Match No. 2; Loera cards a second-place 73

(San Jacinto, CA) For the first time since the 2016 Orange Empire Conference season, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf team finished first and they did it in great fashion.

The Mounties, who shot a team score of 320, were 30 strokes lower than second-place Fullerton with a 350. College of the Desert (353), Saddleback (357), Cuyamaca (379), Orange Coast (380) and Mt. San Jacinto (N/S) finished the remaining five places.

Topping the score for the Mounties was sophomore Kayla Loera with a 73, which tied her for second among of the 35 golfers.

Mt. SAC's Natalie Neal carded an 81, followed by Alana Lo (82) and Kylie Lau (84).

The Mounties continue OEC play with Match No. 3 on Wednesday (Sept. 13) at the Cuyamaca Tournament at Cottonwood GC in El Cajon.
