(Chino Hills, CA) For the second time in the last four years, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team has qualified for the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional Championships, after a third-place finish in the Orange Empire Conference tournament Wednesday October 31.

In 2015, then first-year coach Greg Osbourne led his team to the CCCAA So Cal's, after winning the OEC title. The Mounties will return this year after finishing third behind champion Saddleback and second-place Fullerton.

"The good thing is we are going to the Regionals as a team," said Osbourne. "I chose to take everyone because of their character throughout the season.

"I am very proud of the women and hopefully we will have success at the So Cal Tournament. We hope that two of them will advance to the state tournament."

The two-day CCCAA State Championships will be played the Morro Bay Golf Course November 11 and 12.

In the two-day OEC Championships played at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills, Saddleback finished with a low score of 688, followed by Fullerton (736) and just nine strokes behind was Mt. SAC with a 745.
