(Palm Springs, CA)  At the Desert Classic, Mt. SAC Women's Golfer Mackenzie Kelly hit a 153 yard hole-in-one on the 15th hole, of the Legend Course, at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort in Palm Springs.

"It's a fantastic accomplishment", replied Head Coach Greg Osbourne.  "She focused on her target orientation, through her pre shot routine.  It landed just short of the hole and trickled right in."

This marks the third Mountie Women's Golf Hole in One since Osbourne took over the program three years ago.  Along with Osbourne, Assistant Coach Sarah Juelch has also witnessed first hand, all three hole-in-ones.  Juelch was standing next to Osbourne during this momentous event and is the Mountie Golfer who shot the other two hole-in-ones within 10 days of each other, during the 2015-16 season.

With odds of hitting a hole-in-one running from 5,000 to 1, for a pro golfer and 12,500 to 1, for an amateur golfer, this is an incredible accomplishment in itself, but an even more incredible accomplishment for the program and Coach Osbourne.

Kelly, a freshman out of Roosevelt High School (Eastvale), shot a lifetime best of 74 last week at the season opening South Coast Classic, to finish in the top ten.

The Mounties will enjoy a week off before competing in the Orange Empire Conference Match #1 at L.A. Royal Vista (Walnut, CA) on Wednesday, September 13th.
