Celina Felix Named 3CFCA 2015 Player of the Year

(Sacramento, CA)  Mounties Third Baseman/Utility Player, Celina Felix has been named the 2015 California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) State Player of the Year (So Cal Region).  The sophomore out of Montclair High School has had another phenomenal season with her bat, hitting .561 (BA) with a on base percentage of 6.08, a slugging percentage of 1.307 and has hit 18 homeruns with 60 RBI's.  Along with this honor, she was also named the South Coast Conference Player of the Year for the second time, and was named the California Community College Athletic Association Player of the Month for February.  

The Mounties were also represented on the CCCFCA All-Southern California Team by freshman outfielder, Anise Avalos.  Avalos, an All-SCC First Team selection is batting .456 with an on base percentage of .479, a slugging percentage of .693, and 34 RBI's.   

Ultility player, Alyssa James and outfielder Jordan Brenner were named to the CCCFCA Academic All-State Team. Jaymes was also named to the All-SCC First Team.    

Sabrian Canales and Miranda Peralta were named to the All-SCC Second Team, while Denise Gonzales was named to the SCC Honorable Mention list.
