Men's Cross Country Team Takes Second Place at CCCAA State Cross Country Championships

(Fresno, CA)  The Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team finished the 2015 season with a 2nd place finish at the California Community College Athletic Association Cross Country Championships which were held at Woodward Park (Fresno, CA) on November 21st.  This marks the 13th time the Mountie Men's Cross Country Team has finished second at the CCCAA State Cross Country Championships.  The Mountie Women's Team came home with a very strong 5th place finish. 

The Men's Team scored 116 points which was 7 points ahead of defending state champion College of the Canyons, but 49 points behind Northern California Powerhouse, American River College who scored 67 points, with a team time of 1:44:18, to take the title.  The top 5 Mounties all finished in top 50, with #1 runner, Sophomore Terry Fenske, finishing in 13th place with a time of 20:51.3.

The Mounties finish the 2015 season with a South Coast Conference Championship, Southern California Championship and a runner-up finish at the CCCAA State Cross Country Championships.

Congratulations to Head Coach Ron Kamaka, Assistant Coaches Daniel Ozan and Giovanni Lanaro, and the Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team for another incredible Cross Country Season.
