Mt. SAC Men’s Cross Country Team Finishes Season In 4th Place at the 2014 CCCAA State Championships

(Fresno, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Program finished the 2014 cross country season with a strong 4th place finish (170 points) at the 2014 CCCAA State Championships.  The beautiful cool fall morning produced personal bests for each of the Mountie Men on the 4.0 Mile, Woodward Park Course.  Sophomore Kevin Matthews led the team and earned All-American Honors by placing 7th and running 20:24 on the historic course.  College of the Canyons captured the men's team title with a score of 79, American River took second with 86 points and Orange Coast finished in the 3rd with 157 points. 

Mountie Men Performances:

Congratulations to Head Coach Ron Kamaka and Assistant Coach Victor Estrada who led this year's team to a phenomenal season which included a South Coast Conference Championship, a Southern California Runner-Up finish and a 4th place finish at the State Championships.
