Mountie Men's Swimming finishes second at Cuesta Invitational

(San Luis Obispo, CA) With 696 points, Mt. San Antonio College took second place at the 46th Cuesta Swimming and Diving Invitational, which took place on Friday and Saturday, March 8-9, at Cuesta College. Host Cuesta finished first with 810 points, while American River College came in third with 661.

Mountie swimmers finished first in three events, second in five, and third in five.

First-place performances came from Samuel Slezak (1650 Free), Kevin Poma (500 Free), and Gavin Roberts (400 IM).

Eric Yeh (200 IM), Ray Chun (50 Fly), Markus Stegbuchner (200 Breast), the 400 Free relay team (Chun, Aidan Gillooly, Luke Pedroche, Yeh), and the 200 Medley relay team (Yeh, Stegbuchner, Pedroche, Chun) finished second in their events.

Third-place finishes included Chun (100 Breast, 50 Free), Poma (1650 Free, 100 Breast), and Roberts (200 IM).

Mt. SAC will next compete against Pasadena City College, Cerritos College, and West Valley College at home on Friday, March 15, at 9 a.m.
